Physan and others will kill Trichoderma. Also don't use tap(city) water unless you have carbon filters.

I too have been using it on all my plants including my seedlings. I use a bennie pack that has beneficial bacteria and Trichoderma harzianum in it. I have seen great results too. I have some Catt. seedlings that have grown new 4" roots.... only 2 months out of flask. I have lost one flask and not sure why.

The only down side is that these products are not cheap.

I will add that this is only the tip of what bennies can do.... There bennies that can kill aphids, scale, and other "pests". There some that can pull N out of thin air. A must if one wants to grow organically.

keithrs - is Rootshield the product you use ? Its the only one available on Amazon, do you have another source if it is Rootshield ?

No, lately I have used Subculture B. Though I have used plant success soluble and Fungi perfecti. I use a bactria product because it breaks down the organics. I use it in the garden also. I top dress most of plants. I started to cut back the amount of chemical fertilizer.

I saw some info stating the product Biovam is a product with Trichoderma in it that is available in the states.

I have used a product called AkTRIvator which is available in the UK from hydroponics shops. It contains TRICHODERMA harzianum (Tri002/3).

I attached another picture: the tiny roots just appeared since I started the thread on the weekend. The Trichedermia harzianum does appear to stimulate root growth on stems of monopdial orchids. I would assume that it does this on rhizomes too (although I have not tried it).

There are quite a few products that have Trichderma.... The key is to find one with a high spore count.
