Systemic bacterial infection I hadn't thought of but it also makes sense. That would be hard to deal with and identify I guess.

If you're in an orchid society, give it to someone. It will then surely bloom within a couple months. Never fails.

Have you properly dried it? I think it is Oct that you stop watering some Cats. Begin again in March and they thrive.

Just a stab in the dark. Lowes did my only Cat for me by mistake. They tried to kill it and then let it go cheap. Bloomed wonderfully.

Try to keep the foliage as dry as possible. no spraying at all. Fungi need a few hours in contact with water to infect the plant.

In anycase, certain plants - not just orchids- seem to catch every type of fungus and bacterial rot. I think It's just weak plants with no resistance and they should be discarded.
