What makes you say that?

If you are referring to Andean species or standard cymbidiums, maybe, but a phal in the wild might be 100° or more with no issues.
I read somewhere that if leaves are warm to the touch and they are in sunlight or filtered sunlight, its the first stage of leaf-burn.
I have used that as a guide. It certainly worked as a guide with my catts that were/are outdoors.
Burlap wasn't sufficient and I had to double the layer - before I discovered aluminet.

Hi , I use Aluminet on the green house roof but for added shade on some, the black plastic (not wire) type screen door wire clipped over them on the inside .
