I began about a month ago trying not a foliar spray but adding a 325 gm aspirin to 2 gal. when I water or fertilize. No problems yet but I know it's too soon to tell. I like to think that this might be strengthening the plants immune systems but who knows??

Hi I believe it has to be repeated every two weeks.
So in two months 4 application/spray is due.
Have u done it?
The expected adverse effect is burning of leaves.
have u noticed any?

I know that Mauro has explainned the rational behind the use of aspirin in orchids culture, and that he uses it on a regular basis on his plants, once in another thread. But I cannot find that thread anymore (well, to be honest it was not an intensive search what I did )

Then there is always that minor inconvenience that for foliar feeding to work, the chemicals must be absorbed through leaf stomata, of which orchids have relatively few, and most are un the undersides of the leaves. And if you want to try that for phals, you'll have to do so at night, as their leaf stomata are closed in the daytime.

I have used asprin every time I feed my plants. 1 325mg tablet diluted in a 7ltr sprayer,it has caused them to produce bigger and healther blooms, I add it with the normal orchid food I use.on the lighter side, this makes them easier to pollinate as they never have a headache.

Weekly during the growth season and two weekly in the off season with a weaker feed.
