Seedpod Question

Greetings to all !

I have a seedpod that is about 150 days old and it's starting to turn yellow.
However I will be busy at least for the next 5 days or so to take it to the lab.

Can I just cut it and leave it in the fridge till I can find the time to go to lab ?

If yes, how long does it last ?

I am worried that it's going to pop soon.
