picture #2 is not a flower bud... it is a keiki. they are vandacious but they can flower on every node all at the same time with no repetition of flower on the same spot; since its a specie=it will flower only once a year=twice if youre lucky...it is also fragrant and flowers last a long time from 6 to 8 weeks...I have a 4 ft plant with two keikeis now growing into a clump....I hope it gives me a spectacular show of blooms next season
