Spathoglottis will flower almost year round in full sun. The leaves can look pretty bad and old growth dies down to the ground but new growth keeps coming up.

It is possible you are not giving it enough sun.

My Spathoglottis just started sending up inflorescences two weeks ago. Two of them have already opened one is yellow and the other one is peach. I've got 3 others that are yet to show any signs of initiating spikes.

We just moved and I dug up the two Spathoglottis I have. I am thinking when I plant them again I will put them where they get more sun. I have lots of foliage but no flowers. I have seen many around where I live and all that are blooming have more sun then where mine were. I hope this works because I like the plant.

I've seen Spathoglottis plicata in the wild where they have naturalized in the Caribbean island of Dominica.

They are able to bloom just fine in shaded areas.

Yours may be in too deep a shade.

Do you have a pic of your Spathoglottis?

No, they are in pots now because we have moved. Where they were they got some morning sun, but because they were not blooming for me I thought they might need more sun.
