Default Yippii, My Zygo is blooming

Hi everybody,

My Zygo went crazy in less than 24 hours. I bought it in March with a few blooms on it and was told not many people get it to rebloom very well. I guess I've been doing something right because I have "2" spikes with 5 blooms on one and 6 blooms on the other and they have burst into flower and fantastic fragrance. OMG...beautiful!! I just hope they hold till Aug 2 when I take it to my orchid club meeting. Hope the pics come thru ok. I'm putting them in my gallery also.

Beautiful! I love these. I have one but it's young and hasn't bloomed yet. If you can do it in Florida, I'm hoping I can too.

When I bought it they didn't have a specific name on it. I found a website and it looks like it might be either Zygo. Mackayi or Zygo Mackayi x Blue Banks. Hope you find one.

Just so all you guys know..this Zygo has been growing inside a bright bathroom (South exposure) with glass block windows and a skylight. No direct sun on the plant. The temp about 78 - 80. The humidity at 70%. Hope it helps.

Grandma M,

It's growing in moss. I water it as soon as it starts feeling dry. I haven't repotted it yet since there is still room in the pot and new growth happening. I'll be doing some research when that time comes.
