Default Where Can I Find an orchids lineage?

I found a site some time ago where it showed a family tree (fish bone type listing) of the orchids I was learning about. I have lost it now. Anyway I want to search the tree of Blc. Amy Wakasugi `Yamanashi'.

Is there a link for a site that specializes in research on an orchid's family tree?. Maybe this is a Noob question hey?.
Very interesting how these plants we have these days have gone thru many many parents back and forth sideways upside down around the block and back across the street again just to get next door

you can use the RHS orchid register The International Orchid Register / RHS Gardening
tho to trace back lineage of complex hybrids could be a bit of a job - still, it's there for anyone to use

That's the one I use too.

It's a shame that once you've found the parents there isn't a hyperlink (if they are hybrids) to find their parents. But there isn't you have to go back to the beginning and type in the parent you have found to find the next level in the tree.

thanks you
Ill try that again I havent had much luck using the RHS site. I guess I should familiarize myself with it more to find it more useful. I did find out the plant is a winter bloomer and as I suspected the sheath could have been there for months already and may take months and months more. Orchids just seem to have so much time on their petals

While I haven't personally used the software, I think Orchid Wiz "may" have what you want. Maybe someone who uses it could add to this. I keep promising myself I'll treat "me" to a gift and still haven't! Just the orchid procrastinator in me.....

It does. It can be done in either text, or with photos, where available.

Here's a photo tree with 4 generations of background of a hybrid I registered:

In the mean time, if you want to research something, shoot me an email and I'll be happy to look it up for you.

Thanks, Ray for you insightful addition to the tread. As always you are so very timely and helpful. Makes me want my own copy. Wish I could find a whole bunch of people who would want to place a group order for the discounts!

Orchid societies sometimes buy a group amount at a discount. That's how I got mine for a heck of a deal. I really like OrchidWiz. I also thought I saw a group purchase here once on OB too.
