Hi

niller-find, you have a personal message, you are welcome to partisipate!
Tindomul1of9, very fast we also desided to have a moderately sized intermediates, even though I think that we go for a plant close to what you would call MINI (3-4 inches).
cb977, yes I have seen the problem. I think we can handle it but I will talk to the moderators of the forum

The interest have been fantastic, we are preliminary 18 from Sweden and 1 from Denmark! Some have more demand on size, most of them have not access to greenhouses, other stress the "not so high demand" question.

More project stuff.
Did you discussed merristem vs. from seed? same seedpod? This for have as equal plants as possible?
I have a hard time to find the growing reports on orchidboard from your project. Have you desided to close the project to everyone that is not attending? What is the reson in that case?
Have you allowed partisipants to have more than one plant in the project?

If I am allowed I can try to report on the progress! And last one more question for this time. How should I acknowledge for the idé to start a forum project?

/Magnus

I have been able (so far) to get a discount on the project plant for our participating members...with all the time and effort that these members spend trying to decide on a plant, it would be unfair for other members who have put no effort into it to come in at the end just to get a discount.
When the time comes to order, I contact the vendor we've chosen and supply them with a list of usernames...and when we're ordering, our members must put that username on their order or the discount is not applied.

As the process goes along, members can choose any number of chids they like but...when we do the Final Poll, each member can only choose one...that's the way the poll system is set up It's the way it should be

We have a separate Chat Project section in our Gallery and once a month our members post update photos of the project plants...take a look

I usually post a number of times prior to the project starting to get people interested, then choose a date to start. Once the discussions have started, give it a few weeks before starting the final poll.

Good luck with your project! I think it's wonderful! Did you get the idea from us?

We'd love to hear progress reports

Thanks Susanne

Yes I got the idea from orchidboard. We are just in the process to decide on the species, I am collecting the participants wishes. We will most probably make one order and distribute the plant within Sweden ourself. This mean that I will set a closing date at some point and make the order.
Our forum has been more or less dead for some time but there are some people that have decided make it live again. This project we plan will be an excelent way of getting some continuity when the firt burst of energy sets.
