Are Frogs harmful to orchids???
So I've been moving stuff around, trying to organize etc.
This late afternoon I decided to give the plants a quick drench. I almost completely missed it, but there was a rather plumpish frog between the leaves of one of my Cattleya guatemalensis divisions. It was just sitting there like, "Yes, what are YOU doing here?"
So, question.....should I be worried about the frog? Should I chase it off? Am I going to have a frog infestation on my hands?
WHY is it even there? I've never encountered this issue?
I'm actually sort of offended it's there!!

frogs eat bugs - they're helping you out I like finding frogs and little lizards in my (outdoor) plants - they like to hang out in cool places during the day ...
they are quite sensitive to pesticides and other toxins, so I definitely avoid using chemicals when I know there are frogs around (try to stay away from them as much as possible, anyway)

Are frogs harmful to orchids? Only if you have a "frog phobia"! I've dropped pots, run through hanging clay pots knocking them to the ground in an effort to get the heck away from those giant tree frogs.
I think the real question should be.....
Are frogs harmful to orchid growers

I don't get big frogs on my screened porch where I grow my orchids. But I've had a family of tiny frogs for many years that actually live in the pots. They suprise me when I'm repotting an orchid and four or five of them will jump out. They don't get any bigger than my thumbnail but they are very loud when they start chirpping. We've all just decided to try to live together. They eat the bugs and I try not to desturb their homes too often. They don't like it when I water early in the morning because they like to sleep in on weekends.

maybe they will poop on one of the roots, free fertilizer! I guess big frogs can hurt your delicate little orchids. OTherwise no problems.
Here are some pics I have taken of the years of my pet frogs on my orchids.
