Tricho, thanks for the information
I was worried that some procedure was needed before using the bark...didn't want our friend to have problems with the 'chids

You can contact Marty, he is our resident Mist King. He sells small misting systems for use in the vivarium/terrarium.

I have a question in regards to misters and foggers. To my understanding, foggers are for providing humidity only, is that correct? Would it be to much to use both a fogger and a mister in an orchidarium? Is one better to have then the other, or is that a bad question since they serve different purposes, although I would assume a mister provides humidity as well. Sorry for the beginner questions, I am just trying to sort out the equipment in my head and what they do. TIA!

I think it all depends on the size and frequency of use. A mister can bring your humidity up (especially a Mist King mister with the fine spray its lets out) for a few hours or less. A fogger continously humidifies yes???(Im not sure). So if you run a mist system for only half a minute once a day, a fogger would be needed for the rest of the day. Why do that? Because a mister wets everything while a fogger won't necessarily.

Perhaps I should start a thread under the terrarium section to get more info on misters and foggers?
