I use SuperThrive, though not regularly. Most of the time I run water through my pots to water. I use SuperThrive and Fertilizer together when I soak my pots to water, which is so infrequent I can't give a schedule. But, I will be using it today. I mixed up all my filtered water, fert and SuperThrive last night. I'm very lazy when it comes to watering. The thing I have noticed the most with using SuperThrive is my plants grow lots of roots. I attribute SuperThrive for saving several orchids. So I think if you were to use SuperThrive you would need to use it very sparingly. I really only use it 1 time out of maybe 3 months. But, then my chids don't get the regular fert either and have probably suffered from it. Like I said I'm very lazy when it comes to watering. I use 1 teaspoon per gallon, same as the fertilizer. I agree that the effects of over using it won't last if you stop using it or cut down drastically on it.

Happy Growing!

Any hydroponics store will have it, Homegrown hydroponics, Northern lights hydroponics, Brite lights( I think but not sure). Just depends on where abouts you are.

Was this the only one to flower with a deformity?
I would bet that next bloom will be fine.

Hi everyone. Anyways, I'll let you all know what happens when the orchid blooms again.

I should've been more careful with reading and following instructions (), because I added 1-2 drops to my watering can that holds way less than 1 gal (more like 0.4gal, which I found out later). I've stopped using superthrive on my healthy orchids, and I mainly use it for newly repotted orchids that could use some extra nutrients and better roots, and keikis/divisions. I still like ST, and I feel better using it when my plants are undergoing stress.

Another orchid that I "overdosed" at around the same time as the mutated cattleya actually bloomed normally, which was interesting. So now, I'm giving my mature orchids regular orchid fertilizer. I'll see what happens.

#1 Superthrive is recommended For daily use or for delicate plants, at 1 to 3 drops of SuperThrive mixed with 1 gallon of water. I dont think orchids are very delicate plants for the most part.

#2 The quantity used for active development and to resist stress is recommended at 1/4 teaspoon per gallon

#3 I use 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons in my weakly weekly orchid schedule and have used that for almost a year now.. I have no un-intentional peloria.

#4 I dont think your flowers peloria was induced by Superthrive, as You are far from any overdose of it.

#5 My
