Help! Money to burn :)

I am leaving tomorrow and will be in Sarasota, FL for a few days (partial business trip with family staying home).
I will have time to burn and certainly a few bucks on orchids.
Help! Can anyone please give me the name(s) of some nurseries to visit close by that might have a nice cattleya division I can adopt?

There are two in Sarasota that I know of, they are; Camp-Lot-A-Noise Tropicals, website Camp Lot A Noise Online Greenhouse has orchid species, hybrid orchids, orchid care info, orchid supplies, flasking service and photos of orchids. & Plantio La Orquidea, website Plantio la Orquidea - Welcome they both require appointments to visit. There are others around but would be a drive to get too, go to AOS | Members Only Area and check for their list of Florida growers under shopping catagory.

Well, I really just had one free afternoon and decided it should be very educational as well.
Mr. Sinn at Canaima Orchids was extremely accommodating and even allowed me to see his special greenhouse where he makes his crosses as well as his spectacular collection of species; some very old and jungle collected.
It was a private special wonderland
I am encouraged to be so bold whenever I am traveling for business and call up local orchid people.
It was SOOO much nicer than a bus tour of the city :P

Glad you had a nice time. Nice that you got to see the private greenhouse, but I guess that an orchid addict is always happy to show their orchids to another addict. Did you buy anything there?

I bought a division of C. percivaliana albescens 'Sohia' AM/AOS which was just finishing it's blooming.
I also bought divisions of two different C. trianae's also done blooming for now.
Hopefully they will bloom for me in about a year or two...
