herbal teas
Do we have anyone knowledgeable about making herbal teas or tonics from orchids. I understand that this is a ancient chinese art. One orchid that was mentioned is the dendrobium., and the biggest users were martial arts people.

Interesting topic. I don't know myself but I do know that many orchids are endangered because they are collected for food or other human uses other than collecting. I would research the status of any orchid being used in an herbal before purchasing it.

Good link:
Quote: All Dendrobium species are nowadays used for Chinese medicine. We are producing medicinal orchids under natural conditions and we care in special projects for the survival of orchid mother plants in their natural environment.
I'll continue to research, we may have a member who has a recipe. Thanks for your help.

Jumellea fragrans can be brewed into a tea called faham tea that helps respiratory dIseases and digestion. All you need to make faham tea is dried jumeallea fragrans leaves. Steep the dried leaves in hot water to your desired strength add milk, spices, ect. then....enjoy!
