Default clones..why cant paphs be cloned?

why are you not able to clone some paphs?

I was just reading on the sunset valley home of the FredClarkarea SVO site that stated that these paphs cant be cloned and come from seed.... why is that so?

There are problems with shoot and root production and bacterial infections that inhibit further flask growth if I remember correctly. Ive also read that using plants that have always been in vitro as source for the meristematic tissues works?

Paphs & Phrags CAN be cloned. One nursery here has had them in flower & for sale for a few years now. The major problem is that not every Paph or Phrag cloning has worked and the time and effort to do it at the moment is extensive and not profitable on a large scale.
