Default seed pods

There are a lot of dends with seed pods at the green house. how do i know when they are ready to be pulled from the plant? Also i read that someware someone is willing to trade seed pods for flasks of seedlings but don't remember the post or the person so if you reed this and are interested post or pm me. Their is no way to tell what the hybrids may be there are over 150 dends in bloom and they are pollenated naturaly not to mention the over 1000 other plants in bloom.

I dont want to be the one to burst the bubble, but no one wants to go through the effort of flasking, and then raising seedlings for a cross they couldnt begin to guess what it was.

The pods are ripe when the pods start to crack just a little at where the pod connects with the inflorescence.

Sometimes, the pods on some plants will change colors. Usually a red that eventually fades into a beige or khaki color.

Are you going to send them to someone to do the lab work? Either way stuffing them in a test tube isnt the way to go. Im sure there is something here in the propagation section for DIY flasking.

Due to the point of raising more noids I might just do it myself only to see if I can.

yeah, i think it would be a good learning experience. plus, when you have some important seeds to flask, it wouldnt be your first time. flasking can be difficult though.

Once harvested, store the seed capsules in something breathable like a coffee filter or printer paper. If stored in a test tube or plastic bag then the moisture in the capsule tissue will mold and ruin the seed.
