i was told the tips dried because of to much sun and yes the bulbs are in a mound but ar all visable there is a lot of new grouth and i did up size the pot to try and save it if it dose not seem to do better i will search help and divide it.

I was curious when you said 'huge' what you would mean.

I have a neighbor with one that is 12 feet wide and five feet tall. They just add cinder blocks on the sides and it grows into them. It covers the front of their house.

Your plant is a very nice specimen. Oncidium can take very small pots for the size of the plant.

I have had Oncidium this large in 4 inch pots, with the plant hanging over each side by 6 inches. It was not even pot bound. Oncidium do not have many roots in comparison to other orchids. This is why the evolved to have such large pseudobulbs to contain water and food for the plant.

Oh to live in Fl. and be able to grow outside . I would not divide it ..
