For our climate, the red Dynamite is recommended by local commercial growers and I have never seen any negative symptoms...I use it on vandas and catts...I don't grow but a few thin leaf oncidiums--but my heavier leaved oncids (psychopsis) love it.

I wouldn't begin to make recommendations for northern or under lights growers--I wouldn't know my a$$ from a lunchbox north of Orlando!

Okay kids here is the scoop about "Dynamite Fertilizer". It comes in three "colors" 1)BLUE = Manesium Sulfate. 2)GREEN = All Purpose, 18-6-8. 3)RED = Vegetable & Flowers, 13-13-13. Red is the one Kathleen mentioned in her post. It is considered a "balanced fertilizer" which is generally recommended for most orchids unless they have a specific deficiency. Peter's 20-20-20 would do the same, tho not time released. I firmly beleive that you need to be careful using a time released as you "could" over fertilize. Remember the rule: "weak, weekly", should apply unless you have ideal conditions, which [U]most[U] hobby orchidist don't have. Good luck to all time releasers!

Wow, something's not right here. RO water should normally be pure (no sodium. Apparently your water provider is mixing a bit of seawater in with the RO like they do in Ft Meijer Beach.
