We've discussed a willow slurry in my plant propagation class. Some people have had results with it. There is supposedly a lot of auxin production that happens in them.

I've heard of people just using the water that willow has been soaked in and having great results.

While products like Superthrive, KLN, and laboratory grade phytohormones are available to hobbyists, sometimes that's not what people are looking for.
Superthrive, KLN, and laboratory grade phytohormones are effective, but it doesn't necessarily mean the homemade stuff isn't as effect or more effective depending on the situation.
I believe this is more of a convenience issue rather than an efficacy issue.
Yes, it may not be very convenient to make the homemade slurry, but that's not what was asked.

Also, if you're as clumsy as my husband, spilling a $10 bottle of SuperThrive is more frustrating than spilling a 50 cent can of coconut milk. Plus, I love it when I can get what I need from Mother Nature.

This is exactly my point.
I don't have access to willow branches, so I might toy with some of the other methods mentioned. Thanks guys!
Has anybody tried these?

I've done the oatmeal and the coconut.
Here's a coconut article:

There's some info about the oatmeal too.
