I've heard this orchid is difficult to grow. I haven't had issues growing it. I've had it for three years and it's thriving..however, not blooming. I've given it lots of sun, south window. I want flowers! Any suggestion for Ascps. Jiaho's Orange 'Jiaho' ? thanks!

I have had 1 of its parents, Irene Dobkin, for just under a year and it is in spike right now. I grow mine potted in coconut husk chips, in a west window, somewhat shaded by other orchids. I water every 4 days or so and mist the top roots when I think of it. It got a seasonal fluctuation and I think that spurred it to bloom, getting daytimes in the high 60's and nights in the mid/low-50's. It seems happy.
