Default Restrepia elegans:withered flower buds

Hello,I was waiting for my Restrepia's two flower buds just to open, and they really were about to,when they suddenly shrinked up...I can't figure out what can be happened...
The plant is looking very healthy, the soil is never allowed to dry out completely, the U.R. is around 70% (I'm keeping it in an orchidarium), the air flow is good (three pc fans running 24/24)...temperatures: 23 C day- 17 C night...
Could it be too much air flow around the buds? I knew that this genus needs very high air moisture, but also very strong air movement,so I'm keeping it at 20 cm from a small pc fan.Could it be too near?

Sometimes the buds just drop for "no reason". If you've ever had a fruit tree, not all the flowers will produce fruit. Not all fruit will make it to maturity. That could be the issue here. IDK.

Or...

If your fans are blowing directly at the Restrepia, then maybe that's the problem.

Check the roots, see if they're distressed. That can cause premature bud drop as well.

Hi,thanks for your reply.
Roots were healthy, and two other buds have been blooming without any problem since last time I wrote.I only moved the plant away from the blowing fan.Maybe this was really the issue.

Dried shriveled flower buds over night are the classic systems of thrips.

These little insects suck the juice out of the buds. They are too small for most people to see with the naked eye. They can be seen with a jewelers lop.

Over time everyone gets them. In a commercial greenhouse it is a constant fight.

i think the fan blowing directly on the plant is not good....if you could move it to one side?
