They were growing on top of themselves for the most part. A few clay 2" with NZS mixed in underneath. Another huge one that is the mother is on cork.

Psychopsis pspillio is another orchid that I have seen flower several times as a normal coloration and then produce alba flowers.

The alba gene or lack of a gene has always been present but not dominant. It may or may not continue to flower in the alba form.

This is why a commercial grower who wishes to continue an alba strain for the first time will seed cross it to others (preferably another alba) that may have the same gene characteristics.

Over time and several crossing the genes become dominant and an alba strain is permanent.

Cloning a first time alba like yours usually will not produce many alba offspring. Cloning should only be done after several generations of consist lack of color.
