I also do not qualify as I have only been growing for six years or so, but one of my Noid phals dates from the start.

Like Whiterabbit, I do have a Ferocactus that I've had for twenty five years and my Crassula argentea (money tree or Jade tree) is a ten year old baby of one my mother had since the 60's

Like Hedge I don't have an old orchid, but I do have a Crassula (don't know the species but my Mum always called it a 'Jade') which must be getting on for 20 years old and was a cutting from my Mum's which must be at least 30 years old (don't know when she got it, but she's had it as long as I can remember).

I remember getting that as a teenager, when I fell over my Mun's plant during a power cut and knocked part of it off. She gave be the broken piece and I got several new plants out of it, although only one of them followed me to University, then to my various homes until it got here.

I also have 'Hoya' which I got at a similar time and is also a cutting off a much older plant my Mum had.

I have orchids that are at least 5 years older then I am (i'm 25). One Cattleya NoID and a Coelogyne cristata. They belonged to my grandmother and after she died they went to me and my father.
Do have to say that unfortunatly they've been devided because my dad and I both wanted a piece and they were absolutely HUGE, my grandmother had the Coelogyne in a big 1-meter wide washbasket. When it was in bloom it produced a cascade of flowers, it was a spectacular sight.
I also have a Brassavola nodosa that's at least 17 yrs old and a Phal. equestris that's 11 years old .

The one that started it all for me was a plain white noid phal with those flowers that are the size of your fist. I have had her for twenty-some years and this is the first year she has not bloomed for Christmas. I guess I probably shocked her when I decided she was getting too much of a "neck" and chopped her in half--All I do is water once a week and fertilize weakly weekly. She's putting out new leaves and roots, though, so I guess it is only a matter of time until she blooms again--My baby
