Default Whats up with Laelia rubescens and pest

Whats up with Laelia rubescens and pest. I have seen on a lot of sited that when they are selling Laelia rubescens they'll say leave it to the pros for pest controls . Does it do anything or is it a myth?

Never had any problems with my L. rubescens. Right now it has 25 or 30 spikes of flowers on it.

I don't know what this is referring to.

If you're growing it right, there should be minimal problems with pests.

I've never grown this species, but it sounds like it's not that hard to grow.

From what I see, it's an intermediate to warm growing epiphyte of deciduous forests. Which means it gets a dry period. According to Jay Pfhal's site, it's winter dormant.

People who may be using that saying are probably watering it year round when they're not supposed to, I guess...
