The last spike is still hanging in there! It's growing very slowly, but at least it's there. Meanwhile the plant is busy with 3 or 4 new growths, so I have more spikes to look forward to.

You do not have bud blast, which usually is indicated by healthy looking buds falling off.

Buds that develop and then dry are a classic sign of thrip infestation.

Threat it for parasites and you can probably save the last bud.

No, not thrips, that I am absolutely certain about. It's not bud blast, since it was the entire spike blasting well before aly buds were visible.
