Default southern burner heaters

Hi --- I have just completed a new greenhouse and would like to get opinions / reviews from people who have installed a Southern Burner C-1 non-vented heater. Do you have problems with natural gas related products and the quality or longevity of orchid flowers without the vent? It seems like a very efficient heater.

Thanks.

I don't have this particular brand of heater but I think the same general things hold true for most unventillated heaters. I may be wrong but I don't think you can achieve 100% combustion and efficiency drops with the available oxygen the longer the heater runs. I use one in my "cool" house to keep the temp from dropping below 45F. That happens on ocassion during Jan and Feb when the outside temps drop into the low 20Fs and rarely upper teens. The temp drops like that because the sky is clear which means the morning will be sunny. The temp rises quickly and we can vent for most of the day. How many hours can you vent after using the heater? On average how long does the heater run? I haven't had any problems with Cym spikes, cool dendrobiums or Chysis, Laelias, mums and azaleas.
