Christmas/Birthday Wishlist
Hi guys!!!
Maria's sister Angie instructed her to compile a list of orchid supplies that she may need/want/covet for her upcoming Birthday and Christmas.
Maria was instructed NOT to list plants, however.
Maria informed me that she needs cutters, watering tools and a light meter. She thinks that the Dramm watering supplies and Felco tools are good. Maria, however, cannot at this moment think of anything else to add to her list.
So, please help Maria (I swear she is useless sometimes) determine what is a good brand of light meters, watering supplies and cutters. She thinks she will ask for more Air Cone pots this time around, but she's not sure.
If you were to compile a wishlist of supplies (NOT PLANTS) what would you include? Maria wants me to note that she grows her stuff in hydroton and she just bought another huge bag. She also likes to pot her vandas, and likes to mount stuff. Your help is much appreciated.

My light meter is a Mastech LX1330B. It is not expensive. I got it for under $50.00 a couple of years ago. I like the range 0-200,000 Lux or 0-20,000 foot-candles.

For supplies, Physan 20 would be good to add as well as a contact pesticide. Does she grow under lights or outside?

It depends on where she grows her plants but, as an inside grower, I find a High/low - humidity/ temp device a great help.

Going through the list of what's always available on my worktable:
a few pairs of clippers/scissors, spray bottles, aliflor, good quality long sphagnum moss, mounts/driftwood/cholla wood, a blunt dental scraper, cotton swabs, tags.
Somebody wanting to present a gift could gather up a few of these things and place them in a nice basket that could then be used for a chid
