yah about the phal i just don think that this will work but my friend wanted my help so i figure i will give it a try i cant think of how else to do it. i already applied the keiki pro. i really have no hope for that poor phal. the leaves are soft and limp. she put it in regular potting mix.

Regarding the laelia, i have not applied it yet. i am going to wait until the lead that is growing now gets going more. right now it is extending from the rhizome. it has 5 growths currently. with this new growth it will have 6. when i try the keiki pro it will hopefully be a 7 growth plant with 2 leads. now since you guys have used this before would you recommend straight Keiki pro on the laelia node, or dilute with the 4 drops per ounce of water? please get back to me.

Dilute it I have burned plants trying that stuff straight. It is plenty strong even when it is diluted although I will usually put 5 or 6 drops per oz. You may want to make a 1/4 oz of it or less just so you don't have too much mix that you will have to put on random stuff or just throwaway. I have put it on many different types of plants other than orchids just to see what happens many of them have flowered out of season.

on that rootless phal I would mix a bit of Iba - AKA rootone with some lanolin or lard "some oil based carrier" and dab it on by the nodes to get some roots popping out.

I did that with mt catts just after I bought em and got great roots going and it seemed to stimulate the eyes too ...I have two active eyes on each plant right now and I bought them August the 3rd.

Each plant had one new pb maturing when I bought them and whoo hoo now is a multilead plant.Hoping for the same results next round too.
