What is it....Cat or Den?
 I'm looking for an ID on an orchid that I "googled" and found possibilities that it could be either a "catt" or a "den" and I'm still confused. As it is not my orchid but a niece in Kansas City I do not have a picture only a rather vague description. She states the tag on it as saying: Bourana Beauty Mutation. I'm lost.

Donald...I must offer my apologies!
I jumped on that answer too quickly...which was really quite silly since I have a Burana beauty in bloom right now and it is a Potinara (Potinara is a member of the Catt familly)

Is the plant you are talking about in bloom? Has it bloomed? if so, do the blooms look like mine, as in striped colors?
There is also a Den Burana Beauty and it is a mostly solid pink color.

burana beauty is a mini catt....a potinara it is yellow with a red lip and red flaring....mine is blooming right now, i will try to get a photo for you later tomorrow....

A Cat or a Den?
 Now I'm really confused because this is what I was getting on google. Until my niece sends me a pic I will continue to be lost in a haze. Needless to say if I had this specimen in front of me it would be a little easier with the identification. So if it's both, what are the culture requirements? |

The 'Mutation' cultivar is the Cattleya, and fairly common in the midwest. |
