Pot Burana Beauty --- mutation was heavily distributed last year throughout the Lowe's and Home Depot stores.

Mutation is not a cultivar since it is not named as a cultivar but has it on the tags. It is a slightly different color with more green in the yellow of the petals and septals. The plant came out of 'Burana' cultivars. This is happening often with too many clones of the same strain.

It is easy to tell them apart. The Den Burana Beauty is over 2 feet tall when young and gets bigger.

Pot Burana Beauty will stay 8-12 inches in height. They were in bloom about a month ago here, but might be a little later in cooler states.

The Den Burana Beauty blooms in the spring.

Photos of both color variations and a third variation are on my Potinara gallery http://orchidsamore.com/photo_galler...%20gallery.htm

It is certainly Pot Burana Beauty and looks like it just finished flowering.

I can even say it went thought the Lowe's Home Depot system because of the pot.

Be careful that the decorative pot has holes on the bottom. Unfortunately both Home Depot and Lowe's like the look of some pots that do not have holes on the bottom and insist that they be uses.

Thank you orchidsamore. Good catch on the pot within a pot. Never noticed that. Have a great weekend.
