new growth on paph lowii? Male
Default new growth on paph lowii?

i was watering my paph lowii today and i noticed what seems to be a new growth! but... i thought new growths occur at the base of the plant- not from between the leaves? i know it's not a flower spike because they only bloom from the crown. it's super small and hard to see, and these pictures were taken with my cell phone so it's poor quality.

could someone confirm that this is a new growth? or something of which i'm not aware?

thanks guys!

ps: pardon my dinky growing space- this is the best i can do for now!

It does look like a new growth. My lowii has only started new growths next to the existing growth, not like yours seems to be doing. Possibly some one else will chime in. Let us know in several weeks how it's progressing.

I don't have lowii, but the Paphs I do have often do this. I would assume this is quite normal for that species.

I have several that have done this also. No worries! You are on your way to a new bloom cycle.
