Hi Folks,
Last time I tried to explain
how to post image hyperlinks it turned out that the few who understood the instructions felt it wasn't worth the bother. Admittedly, it is a bit tedious.
So with that in mind I created a page to
construct the image hyperlinks for you. All that is required is the URL/address of the flickr photo page of the photo you would like to share.
What I do in
Google Chrome is right click on the flickr thumbnail and select "Copy link address". I then paste that link address into the
flickr to forum page and click "+Get Code". The code is automatically selected so you can just hit Ctrl + C to copy it.
With the flickr to forum page it only took a few seconds to create the code for all the photos and descriptions in the
Encyclias for peeweelovesbooks thread.
The benefits of posting an image hyperlink are that it's easier for other flickr folk to favorite your photo and people are more likely to click on an image hyperlink versus a text hyperlink. Additionally, with the flickr to forum page you can include the description so you don't have to copy and paste it or type it twice.
***A few notes***
Haven't tested out the page much. I really have no idea what it looks like or whether it works in other browsers besides Google Chrome.
The large and original sizes are not always available and only image and hyperlink html will be converted to forum code. Previewing your posts before posting is always highly recommended.
All feedback or constructive criticism is welcome.
