Seems odd for here in Florida. We have all the humidity we can use.Try a pet cooling system. They are cheap and can be picked up at any local feed store. Will up the humidity and lower temps abit. With a low humidity you might have to water more often, simple as that.Even if I dry my plants out,the humidity never drops below 50%.Gotta love Florida.

Duncan,

Linda,
How long have you been living in Hernando? If you haven't experienced a Brooksville summer yet, you may get a pleasant surprise with your humidity levels in the GH Humid plus!!!

you may want to look into the fog america systems. they can be hooked up to a RH controller or just pluged in.

Your humidity problems are easily resolved...simply install more fans, I'd say about 4 more to start.

Once you understand that it is moving air that evaoprates the irrigation water from pots, ground, benches, etc., you can see how you can save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration. Forget mist systems, they only last a short time and are costly.

Go here to learn why: AIR & LIGHT

The misting system I bought from Texas Greenhouse in the late 1960s still works just fine.

I bought a fan mister from Lowes works well as long as it is aimed away from the plants (down the aisle way ) I also have a mist hose with the nozzles under the benches with a fan blowing thru the mist , I don't run both of them at the same time , the mist fan is hooked to a humidistat . Gin
