Default Spathoglottis affinis how to pot

I have just purchased a Spathoglottis affinis from Thaliand and now need to know what the hell to do with it. I believe from what I have read that it is fine to pot this up in bark, is this true?
Any help appreciated,
Thanks

I grow my Spathoglottis affinis as I do my Calanthe vestita. After the flowering period in December / January, I replant the flattened bulbs in plastic pots with a base level of hardwood charcoal for good drainage, some coir, a handful of river gravel, a layer of sphagnum moss, then finallly another handfull of river gravel mixed with a 1/2 teaspoon of 13-13-13 Nutricole. I place the bulb about 1/2 inch below the gravel surface and only lightly mist the pot once a week. In May there are the first signs of the leaves poking through the gravel. One then increases the watering schedule as for the Calanthes. In October I begin cutting back on the watering as the leaves die back and leave the plants to rest in a near dry condition. Then comes the flower spikes straight up from the gravel surface.
