I've checked this out on-line and it seems that the shops round me just don't sell the original.
The one I have is not minty smelling/tasting either and does not mention mint on the bottle. I'm still not sure what flavour it's ment to be.
Oh well, the original is obviously available in some places in the UK as the website I found is UK based so I was wrong on that.
