Yeah there is a grower down here in south Florida called RF Orchids who is famous for developing hybrids which bloom many times a year. It's very likely that you have some of the plants from his line of breeding because they are everywhere down here.

Wow that sounds like a great way to buy orchids. I wish the nurseries down here in Miami would call me when they get new plants!

WOW!!! Absolutely stunning Vandas you have in your collection. I wish, oh I wish, I could grow them here. I'm going to give it a try, however.

I currently have sixteen orchids in my collection - two of which I started from epidendrum keikis.

Hi karate kid!

I've been reading (and rereading) the post "Secret for 365 days vanda bloom" by you and doing other research/articles as well. This is a very popular post, and I thank you very much for the ensuing discussion -very insightful as well!

I don’t recall in the article if you say how much light you’re vandas are getting (I’ll have to reread (for the nth time!) to see if I missed it.

Anyway, what side of your house or structure are your vandas located; and how much light (direct and indirect) do they receive?

I can understand if you do not wish to answer my questions.

Thanks,

hi just to answer your question i posted two images so you would know exactly how much light my vandas are getting .first of this is my lanai patio ,and if you noticed on that second picture is the very corner thats where the sun rises so maybe I would say south east maybe? and they do received filtered light because it is a screen enclosure and they received light from 8am until 11-1200 noon depending on the time of the year the latest and most is probably 1300 in the afternoon.hope this answers your questions.

pls dont think that i wont answer your question ,the only reason that I cant answer your question is when i dont have that time at that very moment but surely i will find ways to answer your questions but other than that i dont see any reason why I cant anwer, though im not a vanda expert all i know and how i grow my vandas (though as i have said im a lazy grower or a simple grower ) will be shared ..i believe in sharing because if you do share, everyone will have a smile on their faces when they see their vanda grow and bloom ha ha ha later man.
