You've probably already thought of this, but if you paid with a credit card, you should be able to dispute the charges and get your money back. You might also try contacting the Attorney General's office in your state and the state of the "seller".

But now school has just ended, and although I had the top scores in my graduating class, it seems I'm the only one that I know of that still has not located a job. Just my luck? Or hopefully it stands to say that I hopefully won't have to wait much longer. We'll see.
In the meantime, I guess I can always trade! Once the weather warms up, at least.

Hey there, im sorry about the plants, did you buy them via CC- if so file a claim
About graduating and the job part, I can TOTALLY relate, I graduated with honors thinking its going to work out great and IM SOL, might be location issue or whatever but its heartbreaking, I have a part time job but its not really related to what I graduated with and it barely pays so Im grateful I have the support of my family. Hopefully it will work out for us, maybe look to pursue a higher study or look into another career- no one is for sure how long this recession will be....
I havent bought plants in awhile and will be very cautious about what I buy if I can. No more impulse buy!
For everyone who is struggling, enjoy the orchids you have now and look to trade, maybe someone has keikis or divisions for a small price!
Every now and then treat yourself to a small orchid, nothing fancy it might bring up your spirits!
Good luck, better days are ahead.

My wife and I work in secure jobs so we're lucky in that regard, believe it or not we can't lose our jobs. But things generally are tight as prices seem to be increasing. I will probably buy some orchids but not until late in the year. It's interesting that prices of basics still increase even though less people have money to spend. I don't get it!

That's because fewer people are buying, so increasing the price helps make up for what's lost in volume, I'd imagine.

I don't drink, I don't Smoke, I don't do drugs, I do Orchids and go fishing, Ive been at the same employer 26 years
I've been running my division hands off from the owners 18 years, have we slowed down yes, 40% but were still making profit barely though.
The hardest thing I had to do was lay 13 people off but I waited until after Christmas. When the stress builds I come home lock myself in the greenhouse and play.
I have cut my spending on orchid purchases, my wife says I got enough for awhile I say maybe 1 more

I am, luckily, in a good position...not rich by any means but not buried under a lot of debt either and we have two steady incomes. As long as I know for sure that the credit card bills can be paid in full each month (I never EVER pay interest on a credit card!) then I can keep shopping.
That being said...if I had any worries about bills, car payments or mortgage, the orchid spending would definitely come to a halt
Bills and personal security are the most important things...and come before any luxury items

Congratulations on your success on top scores! That is a major accomplishment on your part! What is your major? You will get a job soon, this economy is going to turn around.

My shopping has slowed dramatically. For two reasons, the economy, but mainly the winter weather. So I am an optimist and believe that soon the economy will turn around and it will be the people who will ultimately jump-start the economy, not government. And I am waiting patiently for spring weather to arrive so I can officially jump-start the economy with orchid purchases. However, lack of room is becoming an issue of late, so I may have to sell some and make room..... to buy some more (only another orchid addict would understand that last statement).

It's nothing major, just Medical Assisting. It was an accelerated program, so I was able to finish it before the lease on this apartment runs out in November. I didn't want to start something, and then find that I'd have to move in November anyway, and not be able to finish. What I wouldn't give for stability :P haha.
