Default Cymbidiums

These Cym came from Vietnam'mountain area, shall I buy them, they are expensives and i dont know how to handle them. last year these plants came from Thailand and all died. Karachi is sea city and average temp is 35 degree centigrade and in july and august, temp become around 45 degree, humidity is average 50%. please advise.

It's that hot where I live in Texas, and no one can get them to rebloom with any consistency without heavily regulating temperatures...

I wouldn't buy them. The climate is too hot. You would be better of with some of the tropical Cymbids.

I agree with Roy ... leave them be and successfully keep to more heat tolerant tropical Cymbidiums that would do fine in Karachi.

Have you tried checking this web site: http://www.pakkretfloriculture.com/index.asp. They are located in Thailand and specialize in hybridizing warmth or heat tolerant cymbidiums.
