Default Paint/Stain Fume with Orchids

Well, it is getting cold outside in Pacific NW, however, the projects inside the house never stop.

As I grow my orchids in the garage, my partner does his projects such as staining the baseboard in the same room.

Is the fume ok for my 'chids. I personally cannot stand the smell.

Fumes can make blooms and buds drop. Over a period of time they can have other deleterious effects.
