D & S,

How accurate do you think are the end-hose sprayers though? By accuracy I mean the exact proportion of fertilizer. What do you do if you mix in two types of fertilizers?

A decent quality one, like the higher-end Ortho products, is pretty good. Chances are that an improper mixing ratio of poison is a lot riskier than with fertilizer.
