Leeflea, I honestly never paid enough attention to the icons you mentioned to even know they were there. The purpose, as Ray mentioned, is to enable users to report abuse or misuse. However, I agree with you that an irate person could abuse the use of it simply because they wanted, for whatever the reason. On the other hand, any report of misuse would have to be supported by the information in the post so I really don't think that a false report of something could be made without substantiation. I am sure that one of the administrators has the correct answers.

Anyhow, I wish you many flowers on your Mable Kanda.

Lee, those infraction/report post icons are above every members posts from the very beginning. It does not at all mean that you received an infraction. The infraction icon is mainly used to ban spammers (ads for cell phones and stuff like that) Otherwise, those icons are there for members to give someone a warning (or report it to mods) that someone has written something extremely inappropriate/insulting/containing lots of bad language (for example). That never ever has happened here to my knowledge but those icons are there just in case. That way if there ever is a very rude/mean member, there is a way to deal with it. I hope it is clear this time!

As for your orchid, I can be of no help, I don't grow this one! I hope you will get blooms soon!

Don't worry about the icons. They are placed above every post, but they don't actually mean that you have been tagged. They are there so that a post can be tagged by anyone if it does have inappropriate content. You've done nothing wrong.

Thank you camille and greenbean for your replies. I am beginning to feel better and less perplexed. Your explainations have helped. Am still waiting for a response from administration. Again, thank you all. Leeflea

I am very sorry for giving you bad information about your plant. Mine is in spike now is not correct. And the reference to canes maturing at eighteen inches is also incorrect. I have two plants that sit side by side on the bench. One is Epc. Rene Marques and the other is Epicyclia Mabel Kanda (Encyclia cordigera x Epi. Floribunda). The Epc. Rene Marques is the one that is currently spiking and the Epicyclia Mabel Kanda does not bloom until late spring to summer and it is very sweet smelling.

Just happened to stumble upon this old post and I was wondering if your Epicyclia Mabel Kanda ever bloomed for you. I have two and they are both beginning to show a spike. One grows in the greenhouse and the other is outside. The one that is outside is a dark maroon/red in color.
