No idea on the pricing, but that is quite a list. Make sure to have plenty of room for all those cyms!

I don't know about what pricing should be but that's some list you've got there!

Are you prepared to wait a very long time to see blooms?
Seedlings are a great inexpensive way to go but your patience level has to be high. In my opinion, you might be better off removing a few of these seedlings form the list and getting a couple of blooming sized or near blooming sized chids...that way, you'll get different phases of growth.

Ditto to what Sue said. Get a few blooming size plants, maybe even one or two in bud, or bloom. The wait for seedlings to bloom can be difficult, and if, heaven forbid, a few don't make it, very discouraging. A few blooming plants will help keep your enthusiasm up.

And I ditto what Sue and Tuvoc said. Getting only seedlings is going to mean a very long wait to see blooms, especially since you only have a den to bloom for you until then. Anyways, having blooming sized/spiking plants is always fun since they provide instant gratification!

About buying them in Thailand, I think it would be more expensive. Either you would have to buy flasks and you'd have dozens of each, or you get plants. In the latter case that means paying for all the import permits and CITES certificates, which cost a lot!

I also agree with everyone because I still kill seedlings after being an orchid grower for over 20 years. And a lot of those plants on your list need much different care than a dendrobium. And most folks orchid collections have grown over time and not with one order.

This is by far the best way to go. Also keep in mind, that only species are truly "native" to a country. Most of the hybrids listed as coming from the countries originally listed on this thread are probably mass produced mericlones by the hundreds of thousands for sale and distribution around the world.

Ok, I'll make a guess on pricing from Thailand... less than 1 dollar per plant. Shipping and permits are extra, and could cost more than all the plants combined, but it's still cheaper to buy in bulk than singly. I wouldn't pay more than 5 dollars per plant(for the size you're talking about) including shipping(to the US, I don't know how much shipping would be to you). I only see about 5 plants that are species, the majority are hybrids. Some of those will take 4-5 years to bloom, so you're going to be waiting 3-4 years.

Paphs are pretty restricted under CITES, you might not get them unless these are flask grown. They're also slow growers, and may not bloom for 6-7 up to 15 years, especially the sanderianum.
