Hawaiian Orchid Source
I spent a while today browsing through this website that belonged to a Hawaiian nursery called Orchids and Fire. The prices ranged from $6 to $10.50 for mature and/or budding plants. I am considering placing an order but the prices are so very reasonable that I was skeptical. Could I please get some feedback from anyone who is familiar with them.
Thanks!

I have a first order from them this scheduled for Monday delivery -- the only complaint I have so far is that the orchids have to spend a weekend boxed up.

are you doing wholesale or retail purchases.
if your going retail that is a good price, if your doing wholesale are the plants at least very different from your everyday varieties, ie. vandaceous hybrids and different types of cattleya hybrids instead of a bunch of phals and dens. If you are going to be buying more normal types of catts and phals you could always look into Carmelas orchids, also in hawaii, just give a call and ask for Sheldon, he has some very nice plants at very good prices, usually averages out to seven dollars per plant if you order at least 24 at a time. I have never ordered from that particular vendor but i will now check into it, Thanks.

By the title of the post, I thought you would be asking about the vendor that is actually called "Hawaiian Orchid Source" ( http://www.hawaiianorchidsource.com/), now based out of Kauai. Ive never actually heard of the vendor called "Orchids and Fire" and I thought I knew most of the vendors here in the state!!! Anywho, it looks like they carry your average, run of the mill hybrids, so I dont know if spending the money these guys will be worth the cost in shipping. You can probably find the same stuff at most big box retailers. Just my

Thanks to everyone for the input. I think I will place a small order first. They have a large variety of oncidium hybrids that are interesting.

orchids and fire
Hi,
I bought this Stlma. Kelly from them (Orchids and Fire) via eBay this past year.
The plant they sent was in bud, and as described. I am thinking of getting a couple more from their vanda selection.
This plant was rootbound, and I hacked off the roots and repotted. Now on its third blooming (blooms on each new growth).
