I sure do like those Brassovola Nodosa hybrids. Your Stellamizutarra Kelly is beautiful. It is one of the children of Brassovola Nodosa and Cattletonia Keith Roth which is the reason it blooms so much. I must get one if I can find one.

Default The real Hawaiian Orchid Source

I have never heard of Orchids and Fire, so don't attach this opinion to them in any way. That said, use extreme caution when buying from the company actually named "Hawaiian Orchid Source". I bought three of my first plants from them at the Seattle Home and Garden Show one year. All but one died, and that one is only now growing normally, after almost 2 years. The only roots it had was a half-inch stub after I removed the rotten pieces. The pots were covered in plastic so the medium could not be properly observed and once I brought them home, they started sprouting weeds left and right. If you buy from Hawaiian Orchid Source, inspect plants carefully, then go somewhere else! Granted, I was very new to orchids, but I am very observant (thank you OCD) and the plants appeared healthy. The main problem was the plastic over the pots. I couldn't inspect the medium and therefore had to go by the condition of the top. Sorry for the ranting, but I just wanted to warn people.

I ordered about a dozen plants and they arrived yesterday, exceptionally well packed and by two day Fed-Ex. The plants looked great and prices averaged about $8.50 and most were in sheath or bud. I am more than satisfied and will order again.

Some of the plants. The Oncidium Mendenhall 'Hildos' was only $7.60 and is making a spike. The second one from the left has eight buds on one growth and six on another.

Jerry, you gave me enough courage to place an order. I hope I will be as satisfied as you are.
