Question Bloodmeal & Bonemeal Use on Catts

Does anyone have any experience using bloodmeal and/or bonemeal on cattleya?

I know there might be a problem with these products just sifting through the bark or lava rock or whatever the catt is planted in.

But before that happens, might not the plant be benefited?

If you've used either product would you share information as to how much to use and when? Results?

Thanks a bunch!

I read in Merkles Orchids - sales of unusual orchid plants and orchid supplies Nashville, Tennessee to put bloodmeal (Blood, Fish, & Bone)on Bulbophyllum/Cirrhopetalum in the spring to encourage healthy and strong root systems. That's all I've heard about it and I have one Cirr plant and I did just that, but honesly....I don't notice much difference.
