They love the sun but should be treated like a vanda lots of water when growing but only enough water to keep from drying out when not in growth or you will rot them away. I have a very large plant in a very small pot so mounting would be favorable over pot culture an yes they will bloom but I use around 50% shade cloth in summer.

I will just agree with all that stress sun. I grew one very well in the open on a post near my driveway in central Florida. Not a lick of shade.

I agree. Thats how I grow mine. Full sun all year long. I think a 50% shade cloth in summer might actually be too little sun, believe it or not!
