I don't have an answer for you since I have never done any flasking/replating, but you have to keep in mind that most of the active members are in the USA. Due to the time zones, most of them are still asleep right now! I'm sure you will get answers later today. Until then we have to be patient!

I've sent my capsules out to be flasked, as the whole process is a little more than I can handle. I don't know what to tell you. I've grown very small seed before, but orchids are a different story. I DO wish you luck. Check out the internet (google) as well as several books I've seen in the library. Maybe you can find an answer there.

Hi shahrez,
Can you give me some more information on what is available to you for doing the replating. A laminar flow hood is the best way but you can also make a sterile glove box out of an aquarium. Can you post a picture of the mother flask? How did you get the mother flask? Was it from a local vendor who could help you? Do you have access to prepared media or will you have to make your own? I know there are several members flasking who can help so just hang in there.

You are likely one of the few people on the planet that needs to embrace sphagnum moss.

Not really. I live in Pakistan. Not kuwait. Pakistan wasn't there in the list. I personally hate moss. Its never properly dries up in my climate. al least 50% humid all the time. Upto 90% from june-late september.
