Sorry "cloudswinger" but CITES applies to ALL orchids & that includes hybrids as well. There are certain types of hybrids that are basically exempt from CITES but they have to be in flower ( for less than a certain number )& anything over that can be without flrs BUT must be IDENTICAL in looks. I am not sure if Catt's are in this catagory or not. Both "nobile" & "Phalananthe" Dens are on the list & Phal's as well. It is true that one does not need CITES for flasks unless you are/were getting Phrag.kovachii from Peru. Further more, country of origin does not come into it eg I can sell Catt.species & hybrids from Thailand but I still need to get CITES to export.
