Seriously while it may be in their nature to bloom, when it comes to the LENGTH of bloomtime, all chids are not created equal. Some have flowers that only last for week or even one day and may only bloom once a year. Others bloom over a much longer period

Though I've never grown them, I've heard that the reed stem epidendrums bloom pretty much nonstop.

Well, provided they get the right Care the following are truly everblooming (had been in bloom in my greenhouse for at least 5 years)
1. Encyclia cochleata
2. Dendrobium ellipsophyllum (fragrant too)
3. Eria pulchella (The most crawliest (a bushism) plant that I have)
4. Paphiopedilums primulinum, victoriae-reginae, victoriae-mariae, galucophyllum, moquetteanum (any of the cochlepetalum)
5. Platystele stenostachya (a great plant for demonstrating tiny flowers, perfect for the one who likes tiny dogs)
That is all I can remember off the top of my head.

A similar thread to this inspired me to buy a Doritinopsis Queen Beer. I purchased it in March with two branched spikes in bloom. They lasted until June only to be replaced by two new spikes. This plant could be one of those ever- bloomers.

A very nice specimen plant. Good growing job. Is it one of those sequential bloomers? I have Laelia Anceps 'Amabalis' that acts as if it likes to climb trees. The new growth starts a long way up the rhizome and it soon outgrows the mount that it is on.
